VOLUNTEER

Want to get involved, volunteer and make a difference?

Everyone has something to offer the world whether it be their enthusiasm, skills or experience and volunteering can be one of the most satisfying and enriching experiences there is.

Trust is committed to involving overseas volunteers in all our projects and volunteers from Britain, the USA, Italy, Kenya and Romania amongst others, have been benefactors of our projects in India. As well as organizing and implementing projects, they have gained first hand knowledge of rural Indian custom, it's art's, it's people and their way of life. We try to create a personal relationship and affinity with the communities that volunteers choose to help and many people have either returned to Vengadampatty or remained involved in our projects from afar.

We have a whole host of projects that need your time and money to get of the ground (click here to see a list of potential projects) and if any projects appeal to you contact Adam Milward at adam@beenleigh.com. We encourage all volunteers to choose a particular project to be involve with and fundraise towards it before they come out to India. This way they can actively participate in spending the contributions they have collected and be a part of the joy created by their kindness.

Recently we have been targetting 'gap-year' and university students in particular, providing free lectures in schools and encouraging them to come over and get involved. If your a Student or a Teacher and you want more information visit the Gap-Year Page to find out more

At present volunteers have stayed with the managing trustee but as numbers begin to increase we will begin building the residential building for volunteers.
